The term ‘California Shutters’ refers to the simple and elegant design of plantation shutters and the two are often used interchangeably. While the two are quite similar in look and function, California shutters are actually slightly slimmer in width. In other words, the cross slats of the shutters are about 2-3/8” wide for California shutters, and are generally 3-1/2” wide for plantation shutters.

Our custom shutters are offered in two materials: hardwood or a PVC plastic that some refer to as vinyl style. Hardwood shutters offer a beautiful and durable way to regulate light. They are available in a large selection of stain and painted finishes as well as custom. Living in a damp or humid climate and are worried about wood shutters warping, worry no more. Our vinyl shutters are durable and will not chip, perfect for damp humid climates and clean easily with soap and water. Vinyl shutters are available in three colors.
